Port Townsend

Well, I wish I could say we had a better crossing this time, but no such luck.  We did get to see some orcas, but it was a pretty rough cossing.  We arrived into Port Townsend around 1pm.  Scott's parents were waiting for us and got some pictures of us coming in:

They also wrote this great blog entry: TININTHEWIND - 1st sighting of our Pirates

We arrived at the Lats and Atts party with a bang. Cannons shooting off and the whole hoopla.  It was great!!!  We parked in our slip and started to relax.  Scott and I were so busy that we didn't end up taking many pictures, but Scott's Mom and Dad did.  It was great to have them with us for the party and I think they enjoyed it.  Here's their blog entry for the experience:  TININTHEWIND - Pirates invade Port Townsend

Friday night was my night to have fun.  I ended up dancing and hanging out with friends.  It was great.  Much more tame than the previous years.  I guess that's probably good.......I guess.  Scott was unable to do the movie on the sail due to the weather.

On Saturday, I volunteered to help sell t-shirts and had so much fun doing so.  Before I knew it, it was time for the kid's treasure hunt:

They had a blast, like always!  After that it was time for Scott to get ready for his night out, so I was on kid duty.  The weather was still pretty icky, so we decided to do the movie in a room that we had rented for the day.  We took all the cushions we could up to the room to try to make it comfy and made some popcorn for the kids.  We ended up watching Sinbad, which is a great nautical movie.  Scott had a wonderful time at the big party.  Next year, we are going to try to go together.  Can't wait!

On Sunday we decided we weren't ready to go all the way home, so we anchored in Port Ludlow.  It was nice to have that extra day to unwind.  On Monday we had a great sail motor down to Shilshole.  We couldn't believe that our 6 week trip was actually over.  What an amazing 6 weeks it was.  I think the kids were a little excited, but a little sad to be coming home:
